I graduated law school in Silicon Valley right as the dot com bubble burst and got a crash course in helping companies manage their intellectual property portfolios in chaos. Since then, I’ve helped start-ups and high growth companies raise millions of dollars, led corporate governance and business strategy, established corporate entities (from initial formation through dissolution for both U.S.-based and international entities), and litigated complex commercial disputes.As a corporate generalist, I bring a broad and diverse range of experience across executive and business leadership, technology and product knowledge, financial management, as well as different industries and practice areas. Whether as a co-founder of a software company or an executive during a turnaround, I have thrived in a variety of roles, using my business acumen, legal training, and entrepreneurial spirit to remain adaptable and scalable to change.Over the past 12 years, I’ve served as General Counsel at TAS Energy, directly reporting to the CEO, board, and auditors. During this decade, I’ve proudly: • Built and managed a lean legal team• Served as Interim Chief Financial Officer (in addition to General Counsel) during a critical time of growth while facilitating the turnaround and eventual sale of the company to a publicly traded company, Comfort Systems USA, Inc. (NYSE: FIX)• Managed due diligence and shareholder/board communications, reviewed sale documents, and negotiated with outside investors• Drafted, reviewed, and negotiated numerous contracts (from shareholder agreements to SaaS agreements, international joint ventures, and multimillion-dollar EPC contracts)Beyond legal matters, I always seek to advance the company’s best interests and find ways to make things better.
