I am a Structural and Civil Engineering Design specialist, helping Architects, M&E Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Developers in all areas of construction, from challenging structural problems to environmental, marine and energy projects. I head up the Technical Leadership of a multi skilled team in Glasgow providing a fully integrated, collaborative service in Consulting Engineering.As a team we can achieve amazing things delighting our clients across Scotland and the UK.With 18 years post graduate experience in Structural and Civil Engineering with WRD I have worked with a range of Public and Private sectors including housing (private and affordable), schools, nurseries, hotels, offices, industrial buildings, transport & infrastructure, Energy & power, breweries, public buildings, factories and novel structures. Also specialising in Facades and Temporary Works.We are unique in the project management field, able to speak everyone’s design language and managing expectations firmly and collaboratively.Our engineering mind set, and detailed knowledge of key specialist disciplines makes us creative in our design proposals, understanding the design teams needs in their language and championing their cause. We specialise in solving client’s problems.• Often clients can become bogged down with slow moving large organisations and bureaucracy. We understand that when you need to be agile and timeous you do not need a crowd. Myself and our teams have been upskilled so we can act in many capacities. • Many clients are constrained by funding release at the point of full statutory approval, often meaning self-funding.
