Stephen Rwagweri is A Social innovator,Impact Speaker,Founder & CEO @AfricanContinentalCrafts &UNESCO culture policy expert & ICH global facilitator, Member at Catalyst 2030,,Expert Reviewer of Innovations at Million Lives Collective and Founder @Engabu Za Tooro. He holds a bachelors of arts in social work and social administration from Makerere University and a major training in entrepreneurship and small scale business development from NIESBUD, India.He is gifted with powers of visioning and pioneering in crafting and executing innovations, programs and social business models, supplemented by mobilization and networking skills. His greatest passions, talents and skills are maximized in generating impact around driving social equity, justice and inclusion while confronting and dismantling entrenched systems of deprivation and with a mission focused on demographics at the socio-economic margins.Building on 20 years' career experience, from 2021 he designed "Traditional Artisans Inclusion (TA-INCLUSION) which is a new model that drive market and industry inclusiveness in artisan sector and currently establishing partnerships for scale across Africa.In 2023, he was adopted as expert reviewer of social innovations submitted to Million Lives Collective Stephen is a session organiser and social impact speaker, mainly showcasing innovative perspectives and undiscovered sector potentials to drive universal Inclusion for greater impact. He has featured on global impact stages including;Culture Summit Abu Dhabi, UNESCO ICH NGO symposia and SOCAP Global among others. In 2023 he was admitted to a panel of 25 UNESCO culture experts to review article 18 of 2003 Convention after he had been adopted in the network of UNESCO global ICH facilitators who are deployable for Expert and facilitation consultancies globally.2012-2020 Facilitated nomination of two cultural elements for UNESCO inscription and headed major UNESCO funded projects like UGA 01210.2007 – Founded “Twerwaneho Listeners Club” (https://www.tlc-uganda.org/) a national civil and cultural rights NGO.2009 – he Became traditional knowledge expert at (WIPO) representing accredited NGO.2000 – To date – Founder and Executive Director of “Engabu Za Tooro”, a Ugandan culture NGO which has been funded by Hivos( ten years) Commonwealth Foundation, CIDA, Concern Worldwide, Prince Claus Fund, and GOAL among others.2012- To date – Has been a pioneer mover of several project and social business concepts in the area of using indigenous knowledge and heritage to catalyze development.
