Build up training, for Operation Herrick 11 2009-2010, Afghanistan. Mentoring, Coaching, administration for approximately 30 men. Conducting patrols in a very hostile environment. Decision making under pressure. Various foot patrols and vehicle patrols in the Babaji area. Winning hearts and minds of the local population, reassurance and protection.

Catterick

ITC Catterick phase one and phase two recruit instructor. Maintain the values and standards of the British Army. 28 weeks basic training of a british soldier, through means of teaching lessons from rifle, General Purpose Machine Gun, Light Machine Gun. Instructing the recruits from basic survival skills in the field, to section and platoon attacks by day and night. Battlefield casualty drills to the peak of their physical fitness. So when the person completes his basic training he is able to be confident in himself and his drills. High standards of dress on the drill square and taking pride in their appearance for ceremonial duties, in front of the royal family and the general public.Passing down my experiences and knowledge gained from myself and other in my job role, mentoring guiding and coaching in the right direction of needed.

Section second in command, with the responsibilities of the 8 men in the section as well as the maintenance of the vehicle for dismounted operations. Al Amarah, Iraq

Tactical Psychological Operations Team, based in Al Amarah. A Brigade assets to win the hearts minds and reassurance of the population. Conducting routine patrols on foot and vehicle, to the local villages in and around Al Amarah. Conducting routine border patrols between Iran and Iraq. Keeping good relations between the village elders to rebuild, construct and helping to rebuild their villages after a devastating effect after the invasion. Close protection to civilian and military aids whilst helping to reconstruct the villages. Assist with medical aid with minors and adults within the villages.

Londonderry, County Londonderry, United Kingdom

A Junior Guardsmen nine months out of training, into a two year residential tour of N.Ireland. Patrols ranging from foot, vehicle, helicopter, boats and rural patrols. To riot control, house searches and vehicle check points. Working along side the police service of Northern Ireland and other units as a brigade reserve, as well as security for the population, working on inner and outer cordons.
