Management and administrationa) Provides general oversight of all activities, manages the day-to-day operations, andassures a smoothly functioning, efficient organization.b) Assures program quality and organizational stability through development andimplementation of standards and controls.c) Assures a work environment that recruits, retains and supports quality staff andvolunteers.4. Governancea) Helps the Board articulate its own role and accountabilities and that of its committees andindividual members, and helps evaluate performance regularly.b) Works with the Board President / Chair to enable the Board to fulfill its governancefunctions and facilitates the optimum performance by the Board.c) With the Board President / Chair, focuses Board attention on long-range strategic issues.5. Financinga) Promotes programs and services produced in a cost-effective manner, employingeconomy while maintaining an acceptable level of quality.b) Oversees the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and audit.c) Works with Board to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.Assures the availability of materials to support solicitation.6. Community relationsa) Listens to clients, volunteers, donors and the community in order to improve servicesand generate community involvement. Assures community awareness & responseto community needs.b) Initiates, develops, and maintains cooperative relationships with key constituencies.
