Steve is a registered patent attorney and partner in the Innovations, Information Technology and Intellectual Property Group at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP. He advises clients on all phases of patent protection on a global basis and represents their interests before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Steve also helps clients manage their IP assets, counseling them on portfolio development, assisting with IP audits, conducting patent searches and issuing opinions on infringement, validity and patentability. In addition, he performs patent due diligence in connection with corporate transactions and provides litigation support regarding patent claim construction and prior art.Steve’s experience encompasses a wide range of technologies, including dental lasers, orthopedic surgical devices, electrical fixtures, power tools, plastic products, furnace burners and operating systems, mobile phones, pumps, valves and hydraulic systems. In addition, he holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
