• Define the actions needed to maintain the Mr. Chips, Inc. facility and processing equipment in compliance with FDA, OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements and company policies. • Acts as the Chairman of the Employee Safety Committee and is a member of the Food Safety/HACCP Team, Food Defense Team and the Crisis Management Team.• Coordinates with Sales and Operations to develop and implement new or improved products and processes.• Establishes the project requirements for external equipment and facility contractors• Defines the operating parameters of the Preventive Maintenance program.• Maintains an inventory of critical equipment parts to assure operational efficiency and profitability.• Acts as the purchasing function for equipment and facility maintenance.• As a member of the Food Safety/HACCP Team, assures that root cause analysis and corrective actions, as defined by the HACCP Team, are completed.• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, meeting with suppliers and contractors and establishing personal technical networks

• Performing maintenance of equipment as needed or scheduled as part of the master maintenance program.• Follows GMP’s and company procedures prior to, while executing and upon completion of the maintenance functions and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized prior to release for use.• Ensures the proper materials, chemicals and tools are used while performing maintenance duties.• Follows company safety procedures at all times.• Guides production foreman and/or production employees if equipment is not being used properly. • Requests that appropriate maintenance materials are readily in stock for maintenance needs.• Follows proper documentation process of Maintenance Events.• Requests service of equipment and/or machinery if manufacturer technical assistance is needed.• Ensures that production foremen are aware of maintenance in progress.

Lead a team of Engineering technicians in a multifaceted environment. Contract interpretations, Cost analysis, Product design, Product testing, Quality Management, Design Implementation, Production capability studies, Customer feedback interactions as well as Production/Product improvement implementations.Design and assemble tooling, automated machines controlled by pneumatics and Hydraulics. Maintain existing Machines and equipment used for making pyrotechnic assemblies. PLC programming, Forklift driver, Work from Blue Prints / OP sheets. Program management from design/development to delivery to include line setup, time studies, material handling, mixing of hazardous chemicals and explosives.
