Characterized BTX motherboard dynamic response in shock and correlated corresponding finite element model.Accomplishments/Projects:• Identified 3D orthotropic modulus for printed circuit board (PCB) for use in finite element model.• Identified range of standoff stiffness values for use in finite element model.• Collected modal test data of motherboard response and documented best known method.• Identified root cause of a large ambiguity in test data to calibration error on the part of the technician conducting the test, saving engineering time and effort to explain the ambiguity in other ways.
