Based in HR Shared Services dealing with training for maintenance employees in the NW region. Creating training classes, assigning resources and booking delegates on Oracle. Producing reports on Discoverer. Developing communication contacts with key personnel throughout the company.

Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the HR system and providing helpdesk assistance to all users in making the most of system functionality. Completing routine system checks ensuring data quality and consistency. Assisting with the development of the system, providing training, testing, process mapping and configuration. Making amendments to the force structure and establishment. Organising and attending meetings, preparing and circulating minutes as required. Providing statistical management information and maintaining working relationships with other departments. Producing system procedure documentation, liaising with users to ensure adherence to policy and using feedback to recommend changes to policy where necessary.

Dealing with the recruitment process of civilian staff. Arranging interview dates and venues. Sending out interview invites to successful candidates. Compiling the interview packs for panel members that would include the interview questions, guidance notes and candidate information. Writing to the successful and unsuccessful candidates, arranging appropriate level of security checks, requesting references, arranging date of recruitment. Liaising with departments to ensure the selection process was completed efficiently. Maintain employee personnel files electronically and hard copies. Processing employee assignments, liaising with finance in relation to pay and pay enhancements.

Dealing with officer duties for the division ensuring there was an adequate number of police officers on duty. Including arranging officer cover when officers were required to attend court or were taking annual leave. Contacting officers via various means to inform them of court attendance, overtime and emergency call to duty. Also approving annual leave.

Dealing with data input of overtime claims, placing orders with suppliers, arranging payment of invoices via the internal finance system, budget control and monitoring of overtime budgets, general filing and administration duties for members of the divisional command team.

Dealing with customers and maintaining excellent levels of customer service. Maintaining merchandising standards, stock control and ordering, recruitment and staff training. Achieving sales targets, preparing weekly and monthly reports. Liaising with all levels of staff and management

Establishing and maintain effective administration systems for the recording and reporting of sales figures.
