As one of the founding partners in the firm, Mr. Shechtman brings decades of legal experience to our clients. Mr. Shechtman currently concentrates his practice in areas such as default servicing, receiverships and business insolvencies, business and commercial law, banking and finance law, and creditors’ rights. Mr. Shechtman is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Shechtman earned his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1976, and earned a B.A. degree from Boston University in 1970. Mr. Shechtman has taught classes and seminars on topics such as Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Evictions, and is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the American Financial Network. Mr. Shechtman serves on the Board of Directors of Roger Williams University School of Law, the Board of Trustees of the Providence Performing Arts Center, and the Board of Trustees of the Ross Elkhay Foundation.
