Developed a real-time 3D situational awareness application in Unity with a Python back-end server. Computer vision ArUco marker 6-dof pose estimation sensor in the Rust language using OpenCV. Runs in real-time on a Raspberry Pi as well as Windows. Also global scale 3D visualisation using Unreal Engine and Unity around Cesium.Researched state-of-the-art techniques for visually acquiring and tracking objects in a video feed in real-time using 3D CAD models. Identified many development opportunities.Contributed to the development of a computer vision sensor for the automated landing of a rotary wing aircraft on a ship in a simulated environment. Extensive use of Blender to generate synthetic images and video to evaluate sensor performance.Extended and updated a back-end server for managing crypto ignition keys in Python around an SQL database, provided a restful API to the web front end and communicating UDP.Developed a real-time C++ automated mission execution controller (MEC) that augmented the capabilities of Pixhawk for controlling a hex-coptor drone and supplementary hardware. The MEC communicated with the ground station using an extended Mavlink protocol. The solution was based around Boost's Asynchronous IO library but also used ZeroMQ and libcurl for comms. Developed using MS Visual Studio and unit tested with Google mock/test.Created a near real-time telecoms network fault monitoring system in C++ for a large UK provider and for a separate critical national infrastructure network. Responsible for event correlation, root-cause analysis, customer impact analysis, protection path analysis, network model architecture and much more. Also a member of the 24x7 support team.Other:* Extended a Godot application to support more generic synthetic visual data generation.* Investigated state of the art techniques for holography and volumetric displays.* Developed the basis of an application for evaluating speech-to-text jamming techniques.* And more!
