Responsible for $600MM of annual procurement through a category management value propositions approach recognizing quality, technology, service, reliability, continuous improvement and risk management. Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to bring a competitive advantage to GP, their customers and key stakeholders to create the greatest long term value to GP and its supply chain.Developed Global sourcing opportunities for the supply and manufacturing of capital equipment.Negotiate Master Equipment and Services agreements as well as large capital purchase contracts.

•Lead facility and corporate efforts for the procurement of materials, chemicals, energy, capital, operating supplies and contract services for the Palatka facility with an annual spend of $200MM.•Reconfigured purchasing and storeroom organization and work flow processes to improve customer focus by aligning with overall mill strategies for safety, environmental performance, reliability and cost.•Improved overall supply chain management to facility improving accuracy and availability leading to improved reliability while reducing storeroom inventory from $26MM to $18MM. •Lead national sourcing events for services and capital procurement across GP. Created and managed Master Service and equipment agreements with suppliers and contractors.•Developed contractor performance expectations and improved competitive bidding processes to reduce contracting costs to the facility. •Generated over $5MM in local cost savings annually through improved procurement operations.

•Overall responsibility for pulp manufacturing, power generation and chemical recovery operations for 1500 tons per day tissue and kraft paper mill supporting the overall organizational goals for safety, environmental compliance, quality, productivity and operating costs.•Led strategic efforts to transition the configuration of the facility to meet evolving environmental requirements while improving the cost structure of the operation through capital and operational improvements increasing and sustaining production and decreasing energy costs.•Led commissioning efforts for new pulpmill, fiberline and oxygen delignification systems.•Transitioned mill and departmental workforce to a culture of ownership and empowerment and accountability.•Developed improved relationships with unionized labor force through education, communications and improved contract positions for both company and labor.•Accomplishments include implementation of a behavior based safety values program with proven results, reorganization reducing staff 40%, talent development of leadership and new skills based operator training programs, development and implementation of asset strategies in all areas of the facility leading to increased reliability and improved cost of manufacturing.

Assets included separate hardwood and pine fiberlines R8 chlorine dioxide plant, two recovery boilers, causticizing area, waste treatment plant, five coal and bark fired power boilers and 6 turbine generators. Responsible for long term operating strategies through successful implementation of operating and maintenance plans, capital spending programs, and setting responsibilities and expectations for team leadership to achieve overall mill goals for safety, environmental compliance, reliability, quality, productivity and operating costs. Developed a new workplace culture of participation and involvement through information and education of employees on the aspects of ownership to further the success of this employee owned company.
