Steve is a highly experienced professional with a diverse skill set as a practicing professional engineer and registered psychologist. He is currently Engineering Manager at Novalith and consultant and principal with Wellbeing and Performance where he coaches and provides psychology services. He has held the role of Technical Director – Engineering - Minerals and Metals for Wood Plc. Australia, and continues to provided leadership in engineering and project management for the battery materials and the resource industry. Steve has a practical and experienced approach to building and leading teams that perform safely, efficiently and ethically. His responsibilities have included managing projects and engineering teams, department management and business development Offering over 30 years’ experience, Steve’s career began working as a mechanical engineer on operating minerals processing sites for Rio Tinto and Alcoa. He later held the roles of principal engineer, engineering manager, project manager, construction manager and commissioning manager, for resource projects in Australia, Africa, North America and South America. His roles have included developing new offices and business areas, as well as international functional management. His projects have included processing facilities for the battery materials, renewables and mineral resources including the Eastern Creek Waste Treatment plant, the 55 mtpa Roy Hill Iron Ore project and he was the Engineering Manager for the Albemarle Kemerton $1.15bn Lithium Hydroxide (LiOH) conversion plant.
