I work on the S3 Index team where we manage 100s of trillions of entries, allowing customers to make strongly consistent writes while mainting 11 9s of durability. This role is responsible for leading technical decisions and managing stakeholders.

The team operates in a highly collaborative Kanban process with a strict work in progress limit, regular releases, and automation of almost all processes.♦ Evolve ITI have been heavily involved in designing and implementing a large scale agile transformation of the Qantas IT department.♦ Customer Response EngineThe Customer Response Engine provides insights around customer for Qantas services via APIs and event streams using flight, booking and customer data feeds.

I guided the engineering practices of several ~8 person teams within Qantas Digital as they moved from a large traditional web application running on custom managed servers to several microservices deployed on a virtualised environment in AWS. We managed infrastructure and application source within git and deployed to as many environments as required for testing and with a bamboo based CI/CD pipeline. Each deployment was a blue/green type deployment using DNS to switch between builds.

I was responsible for managing a team of bright Rails developers and guiding the technical decisions made as a company. I made sure our work was divided into manageable tasks that were well defined and presented the work to the team with clear priorities.When the opportunity presented itself, I would roll up my sleeves and dive into the codebase writing and reviewing code.

I worked on small to large agile projects using Java with Spring MVC as well as Ruby on Rails as a Software Engineer and a Technical Lead. The projects varied from small projects to large globe spanning projects. We used and strictly followed Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) principles. Following TDD and BDD practices we were able to confidently implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment up to UAT with push button deployment to production.

Premier Media Group produces a variety of channels including Fox Sports for the Australian market. My role at Premier Media Group involved the building of in-house web applications and the development of automated graphics. I was the lead developer of a widely used in-house web application developed in Java which uses a variety of Technologies (Spring, Struts2, SOAP, JPA, JQuery, etc) and interacts with an array of systems(LDAP, Ardome, and Exchange)

This contract role supported the continued development of the Hypertag product Java based communication hub.

This role was responsible for building a graphical ontology querying tool and developing middle-tier business logic components. We primarily used C# and Java to build these tools.

Java, C, and ELisp development creating CodeBroker, a development tool that encourages code reuse by suggesting helpful existing methods based off comments and method signatures while coding Java application in Emacs.
