Creating insights, driving excellence.My current position has evolved to more of a healthcare IT to business / data consulting role. I have found that most value can be delivered at the intersection of business silos, or in a cross departmental sense. Additionally systemic insights can be gleaned for the benefit of the total business and the respective silos that might otherwise remain hidden. Along these lines I engage directly with customers from VPs to CFOs to Departmental Executive Directors as well as data engineering/architecture and developers. My work entails project management, business requirements gathering, source to target mappings, DMS semantic design and build, being an SME for multiple data systems, and systems and design solutioning. Much of our new build is within Azure, in which I am certified. I work on an enterprise team that produces value for over 50 hospitals and over 800 clinics.During my time here I have managed one of the custom data platforms for Providence. Additionally I have worked in the development of several more, and am currently engaged in helping to create a unified financial data system aligning EMR and ERP as well as HR, costing, and several additional systems. I am also heavily engaged on a visioning and planning level for this project. Before I moved to more of a consulting role I focused on creating visual insights for our customers, from back end SQL and Snowflake development to presenting high impact visualizations. I became a mentor for new employees shortly after joining Providence. My experience here also includes a strong DevOps and Agile focus. Much of our work in general over the last two years has been the move to cloud based architecture and systems, and with our status as a Microsoft partner, I have gained strong experience in much of the latest tools such as Azure, Power BI, 365, etc.

• Develop and manage monthly provider productivity reporting, used for provider compensation, for the OHSU Dept of Family Medicine as well as our partner health system departments at Asante Family Medicine and Mid-Columbia Medical Center Primary Care. This reporting entails nearly 300 providers and residents across the state of Oregon.• Communicate with nontechnical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions, and translate those requirements into technical specs and supportable solutions. Consult for our internal and external customers on complex reporting questions and design.• Lead our team of analysts with thought leadership, assisting in interviewing and hiring, and training of new employees. Also lead by representing and presenting team report to entire Family Medicine department in monthly meetings, supporting team members and customers by working collaboratively to resolve data discrepancies and/or to clarify reporting procedures.• Developed and implemented actionable quality measure dashboards, reports, monthly and quarterly trends, stored procedures, views, as well as database design and management. Skills include both relational and dimensional database concepts. • Led or assisted in multiple successful process improvement initiatives, including designing reporting for CCO, CPCI and NQF metrics in a primary care setting. • Principle developer of Patient Centered Primary Care Home reporting, Alternative Payment Methodology reporting, Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative reporting, OHSU FM Academic Value Unit system, and OHSU FM Provider Productivity system. Co-designer of the OHSU FM Provider Quality Scorecard.• Designed solutions for many financial reporting issues involving hospital billing, professional billing, departmental budgeting and forecasting, internal and external auditing, Medicare/caid wrap billing, monthly OHSU general ledger entry, internal billing department audits, etc.
