Planning Director / Founder

Current

London, United Kingdom

Nov 2018 - Present

Freelance Integrated Planner

Foreverbeta

London, United Kingdom

I was the lead integrated planner on the Co-op food. I successfully launched the 2018 Value and Seasonal campaigns (TV, Radio, Digital, Press, POS) creating a step change in value perceptions as well as yoy increases in footfall. I've worked closely with System 1 Research to ensure a more positive emotional response to the creative work is being achieved as well as greater consistency (fluency) across different channels and campaigns. In addition I developed a new strategy for how Co-op food approaches local markets and audiences.

Nov 2017 - Aug 2018

Head Of Planning

Duke

London, United Kingdom

I led the planning function at DUKE, a London based independent creative agency with a commitment to Fighting Indifference. In a world where people wouldn't miss 74% of the regular brands they use and where only 3% think the ads on TV are as good as the programmes something has to change. Work spanned all media including TV, Outdoor, Press, Digital, Paid Social, Stunts, CRM, web, logo design and in-store design.New business wins: Foxy Bingo and Casino, Keep Britain Tidy, Vashi Diamonds and Survivors UKImperial War MuseumI unearthed the insight that the more you understand war, the more you appreciate peace. This was especially relevant to under 35s. This seamlessly led to the creative idea: Witness War. Cherish Peace. with hard-hitting, thought provoking creative work that juxtaposes the carefree life people live in today with the harsh realities of the lives of those on the battle front.Keep Britain TidyKBT have been telling people for 50 years to put their rubbish in the bin. I came up with an easy new behaviour for people to adopt: To carry their rubbish then bin it. This led to the creative idea: Keep It. Bin It. With a Jolt and Educate approach. Jolt work is there to deliberately provoke and fuel debate. The Educate work, shows people what to do, close to different littering occasions, backed up with positive statistics to show that the majority of people Keep It. Bin It. acting as social proof.Foxy Bingo and CasinoFoxy was getting tired for one audience (Bingo) and was annoying to others (Casino). I unearthed the insight that playing of Foxy was just a bit of random fun. This became the brand idea: Random. Fun. which inspired creative work featuring Heather Graham (The Hangover, Boogie Nights) as the random celebrity under the Foxy suit. I inspired the creatives to look towards Hollywood and to inject Extras style humour in order to elevate the brand. Foxy is now the no. 1 recalled Bingo brand in the UK.

Head Of Planning

London, United Kingdom

I established the planning function at the integrated agency, Collider’s first Head of Planning. The role included: Integrated strategy, brand design and identity, brand and creative planning, running workshops, commissioning insight studies, agency thought leadership & strategy training. Clients included: Energy Scanner, Lyxor ETF, Epson, B-Heard & Craft Vino Energy ScannerEnergy Scanner is the UK’s first energy comparison site for small businesses. It’s impartial, transparent and covers 95% of the providers in the UK. I came up with the name, refined the brand proposition, oversaw research and led the briefing for brand identity, web design, ATL and digital creative, media and social. Lyxor ETFI came up with a fresh brand proposition for Lyxor EFT as The Restless Pioneers, after internal and external research and running a brand workshop with all the key stakeholders. This informed all comms from advertising, digital and CRM.
