An accomplished operations leader, I have spent the last 2 years driving a culture shift within Ceres Power and previously 9 years providing business and technical leadership to develop world class MRO operations on behalf of Voith Turbo, a leader in industrial and mass transit operations. I previously managed Production at one of two Traincare Centres that maintain London Underground’s Northern Line train fleet having gained a wealth of engineering and leadership skills and knowledge maintaining Harrier jets and Sea King Helicopters with the Royal Navy. An outstanding leader and coach, I have consistently achieved excellent results by focusing on lean methodologies, root cause analysis, employee engagement and team building. I thrive on the cut and thrust of problem solving activity, watching the team grow through the process, creating their own ideas and solutions using tools I’ve taught them, so that they can devise their own robust improvement plans.Adaptable and resilient, I am able to move quickly into any field, assess operations and make the key decisions necessary to set in motion robust plans to achieve business growth. Passionate about continuous improvement, my tried and tested approach encompasses proactively engaging, empowering and inspiring the workforce to gain their ‘buy-in’, influencing business strategies and implementing change from the top down. Please feel free to contact me to find out more about how I could help your organisation to deliver service excellence, reduce costs and maximise results (stephensumner0308@gmail.com).
