CurrentI direct a Protein Biochemistry group supporting Discovery Research at Amgen. Our group utilizes diverse expression systems (E. coli, Insect Cell (baculovirus), Yeast, Mammalian Cells) for recombinant expression and purification of target proteins. Quality controlled proteins are utilized in large and small molecule drug discovery programs including target validation, assay development, high throughput screening, x-ray crystallography, Cryo-EM, Biophysics, medchem SAR, and immunization campaigns. Our productive, collaborative and highly skilled group has contributed to the discovery of multiple marketed Amgen products.
