* February 13 – Feb 14 – AMEC – Montrose Alpha This role was mostly focused on destruct of cables and various electrical kit and installation of new cables and electrical equipment. My duties consisted on creating and accepting permits conducting toolbox talks and working as part of the installation team.

Fpso North Sea

QA/QC work on various Fpso and Oil platforms in the North Sea carrying out EX inspections to ensure all equipment is deemed safe and fit for purpose.

Aker Solutions - Dunlin AlphaIn this position I was working on the Dunlin Alpha on the Dunlin/Thistle gas hook up. This role entailed the running, glanding, terminating and testing of cables, electrical containment and installation of electrical equipment with a strong emphasis on EX zones.

CO2 CaptureI was working to the completion of the prototype CO2 Capture Project. My role was based mainly within the projects sub station and I was working as part of a team to ensure that all switch and control gear is fitted and terminated to the applicable standards, with special emphasis on EX equipment being appropriate to the zone it is located within.

Sullom Voe - Shetland

In this position I was working to the completion of the Aurora gas plant. Duties that I undertook were ‘EX’ Inspections, installation, termination and testing of cables and electrical containment. I was working as part of a commissioning team and as such I generated and completed punchlists and updated electrical drawings.

In this position I was working in the HV sector and predominately in 33/132/275/400KV electrical sub stations. As a qualified permit holder I was required to organize work parties ensure they fully understood tasks at hand and did so in a safe manner. I was required to install circuit breakers, insulators, disconnecters, CTs, VTs and busbars.
