I have extensive experience in drug discovery from target selection through clinical candidate selection and have also contributed to earlier clinical development teams through phase 1b studies. My experience includes working on and leading project and medicinal chemistry teams. My work has included several target types including ion channels, receptors, enzymes (kinase and non-kinase) and protein correction. I have worked closely across disciplines with biologists, screening technology (including DNA encoded libraries), DMPK, safety assessment (toxicology), chemical development, intellectual property and clinical to advance programs in both day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning. I am adaptive to new ideas and embrace new technologies, and will think outside the box to accomplish program goals. I have directly managed large medicinal chemistry teams and external chemistry CROs. I have also matrix managed cross-functional program teams through the drug discovery process. My goal is to discover top quality drug candidates for advancement to the clinic.
