I have over 20 years project management experience encompassing construction (commercial, residential, government, environmental, country), civil, health, telecommunication, fitout and demolition. My career has centred on the management of major capital works projects in Australia and New Zealand. The centrepiece of this career was the operation of my own project management firm, Stevtin Ltd, which managed a range of commercial projects for prominent development firms in Victoria and NSW, punctuated by an extension to New Zealand, where I managed several prominent hotel and telecommunications infrastructure development projects. The formation of Stevtin built on earlier experience in project management for several major construction firms in Victoria, including Leighton Contractors. After winding up Stevtin Ltd, I was employed as the Project Manager/Superintendent of a major water conservation project for Murrumbidgee Irrigation in Griffith. Currently I am employed by Hansen Yuncken as the Senior Project Manager assigned to the build of the new Tasmanian Performing Arts Centre.Prior to this I worked for McConnell Dowell (Malaysia) as the Project Manager assigned to the new commercial build of an IKEA store in Kuala Lumpur.Previously I was employed by St Hilliers Property as a Senior Project Manager assigned to the Department of Defence Greenbank Training Centre, Brisbane following a transfer from Canberra where I completed the new Belconnen Police Station. Prior to this I was appointed to rejuvenate a troubled commercial office project, preceded by almost 2 years as the Managing Contractor for a major refurbishment of the Royal Australian Mint.
