Workshops- Fleet and Mobile Plant• On site liaison with managers and staff to build cohesion and understand with any new initiatives to successfully implement company wide.• Ensure compliance of ‘O’ License with regard to vehicle maintenance and emphasis on a high first time M.O.T pass rate. Investigation and understanding of and PRS or failure.• Liaison with external body manufacturers for procurement support and service.• Fleet and mobile plant, maintaining repair history and monitor associated costs.Compactor Engineers• Manage the co-ordinator to ensure smooth installation and customer satisfaction, and that appropriate Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.• Ensuring the maintenance and repair of equipment is timely and the highest quality, in line with manufacturers specifications. • Customer liaison to ensure repeat business and long-term customer satisfaction.

• Reporting to the operations Director- working alongside the company Fleet Engineer and Group Operations Manager responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the workshops, fabrication, plant and compaction services within the remit.• Vehicles to comply with company ‘O’ License and improve M.O.T pass rate percentages.

Waltham Cross

• Managed retail vehicle workshops, looking after high profile customers, employing workshop staff, student training and running sixteen skilled engineers on a continental shift system with static day engineers. • To incorporate DAF aid - a key unit to support the DAF network, improved under my management by further training of staff, more investment of the infrastructure. Improving our DAF aid league position for arrival times and job completion. Setting up a permanent shift service.• My final task with was to set up a twenty-four hour workshop to allow night servicing, offering the customers a total service. This increased out flexibility and axel service throughput, further improving profits and customer acceptability.

Cheshunt

• TUPE transferred to Biffa Waste Services. • Worked with Biffa to integrate the remaining Hales workshops into the Biffa systems and ensure compliance across newly integrated depots. • Running the regions vehicle budgets reporting to the fleet department at High Wycombe to ensure vehicle availability for operations, hiring vehicles to cover vehicle failures, MOT preparations, breakdowns etc. Identifying areas of training requirement.

• In addition to the duties of my previous role I was responsible for the integration of twenty-eight workshops within the Hales organisation over a two-year period. • Procurement of all new company trucks and vans, including second hand vehicles and special projects. • The department consisted of a Project Manager and assistant, Office Co-ordinator and was responsible for twelve workshops in the Eastern Region, seventy five staff in total.

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director on chassis equipment and specifications to improve vehicle profiles. Liaising with Leyland DAF and various body builders on technical issues, warranty claims, spare parts agreements and arranging product training for the company engineers. • Along with responsibility for thirteen heavy goods vehicle workshops with workshop managers reporting on technical and personnel issues.

• Responsible for eighteen employees and forty-five multi-axle rigid vehicles within the company’s fleet. • Duties ranged from liaising with depot managers for servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, MOT’s, new vehicle preparation etc., to representing the company and technical promotions both in the UK and abroad. • Keeping a handle on P&L accounts and setting up after sales meeting with manufacturers where required.
