I am an operating department practitioner and have been qualified for fifteen years. In that time I have worked at a large local hospital in the emergency theatres. This has included working in the following specialities; general, thoracic, urology, gynaecology, obstetrics, (emergency & elective), vascular, paediatrics and plastics trauma. While doing anaesthetics for these specialities, I have also circulated for all the above also. I have scrubbed for general surgery, (laparascopic procedures and laparotomies), plastic trauma and obstetrics.In 2022 I also started doing agency work which involves anaesthetics for the above specialities but also for orthopaedics & opthalmics.Since March 2023 I have worked solely for an agency and work around the East of England.Having served in the RAF, in a mechanical technical role, I have found my military experience useful in my medical career.
