I routinely utilize the Digital Brite Radar Indicator Tower Equipment to determine aircraft identification, location, and spatial relationship to other aircraft; I provide radar traffic advisories, directions and suggested headings, altitude information and instructions to VFR aircraft. I have worked complex, multiple and mixed rotary and fixed wing aircraft in heavy traffic situations at airfields with multiple intersecting runways. I coordinate with the adjacent approach control for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) clearance, including receiving and handing off IFR aircraft. I provide for the safe orderly and expeditious movement and separation of aircraft in the class D airspace by monitoring positions on fixes by means of radar and uses radio and radar contact to give vectors and altitude assignments to the pilot in order for the aircraft to fly ADF (Automation Direction Finder) and GPS (Global Position System) and VOR (Variable Omni-Directional Ranging) approaches. I am certified in radar approach and departure control flight data, including Flight Data Electronic Print-out (FDEP).
