Serves as General Counsel and division vice president for Legal Affairs and Institutional Controls division reporting to the College's President, providing legal advice and support to the college's president, board of trustees, senior administrators, and other members of the college community, in areas ranging from corporate governance, pending and potential litigation, risks assessment, corporate compliance, finance and tax matters, real property and commercial transactions, insurance, intellectual property, highly diverse business contracts, college policies and training programs and all related legal matters as they may affect the college's operations or relationships between the college and internal and external parties.

Diverse transactional practice, providing legal and strategic advice to clients engaging in real estate and other business transactions. Extensive experience in matters ranging from commercial leasing, financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and project development for retail, hotel, office, multi-dwelling residential and mixed-use real estate properties. Representation of both lenders and borrowers in secured financings and loan restructurings for portfolio lenders, including life insurance companies, banks and REITs. Originations and work-out of mortgage and mezzanine lending for portfolio lenders, including life insurance companies and banks, as well as for CMBS-lenders and their special servicers. Loan participations and intercreditor agreements, structured financing, loan servicing, work-outs, foreclosures and property management.

Responsible for providing diverse range of legal counsel on operational matters related to the ownership and management of a portfolio of office buildings, retail shopping centers, hotels and residential properties in the metropolitan New York area. Supervisory role and/or direct participation in the drafting and negotiation of, among others, loan documents, commercial leases, management agreements, equipment leases, utility licenses, vendor agreements and consultant contracts. Additional responsibilities included providing legal support to the company's IT and HR departments. Management of outside counsel in connection with litigation and bankruptcy matters and select transactional matters.

Senior level attorney providing legal support in connection with real estate finance transactions inclusive of permanent and construction loans, mezzanine loans, capital maket financial transactions, equity and joint venture transactions, loan administration issues, workouts, foreclosures, bankruptcies, acquistions and sales of properties, set-up and dissolution of subsidiary businesses.
