Shedkm is a young and innovative RIBA registered architectural practice working from Liverpool and London.We have built nationally recognised, award winning buildings across all sectors. From highly bespoke private houses to complex, multi-million pound regeneration projects, we produce critically acclaimed, high-quality architecture often from limited budgets and with difficult constraints.We are adept at the re-use of old buildings, having turned dilapidated Victorian terraces into sleek, spacious homes and redundant factories into iconic work-space and retail destinations. We are also pioneers of innovative construction techniques such as pre-fabrication.We see architecture as a collaborative pursuit between design team and client. We listen. We take notes. We ask questions. We use a variety of methods to develop a solution that is specific to each client and place.Every project is underpinned by a clarity of thought and consistency of approach. Our work embodies simple yet bold ideas that give our buildings a unique and strong identity.

Founded January 2012 by Miles Falkingham, Steve Vant and Fraser Martin. Miles Falkingham was a founding director of Shed in 1991 (ShedKM 1997) and Union North (1998). With the restructuring of Union North, Miles with fellow Union North director Steve Vant (former associate at Hodder Associates) and consummate upstart Fraser Martin have set up FVMA. FVMA are completing live Union North projects while developing an exciting new body of work. FVMA are a leaner and more responsive set-up, suited to recession architecture, designing, project managing, partnering and instigating projects. The practice is more collaborative and project based, well versed in traditional forms of procurement but flexible and experienced enough to work around project requirements and pioneering integrated project delivery, creating a single point of responsibility for delivery.
