Working in the Department of the House of Representatives' Strategy and Outreach Team.Drafted and published press releases relating to Committee inquiries in the Department of the House of Representatives.Supported and assisted Members involved in the Department’s My First Speech school outreach program. This involved preparing assessing documents, advising Members on standards for content and presentation as well as vetting of speeches prior to final selection. Currently drafting the design and content for the Parliament-wide Book Canberra Excursions web user experience. Considering the briefed target audience, needs of the Department of Parliamentary Services and Department of the Senate.

Supporting the work of the Joint Standing Committee on Public Accounts and Audit. Supporting the work of the Standing Committee on Communications and the Arts.Researched a variety of inquiry subject areas for both Committees including Commonwealth procurement, Commonwealth grants, live music, defence major projects, Hunter Class frigates and Commonwealth financial statements. This research was then condensed and provided to supervisors to assist and guide the observations, findings and recommendations within the final reports for the aforementioned inquiries. Analysed, summarised and briefed Australian National Auditor General reports to supervisors, including the 2022-23 Defence Major Projects Report. These summaries focused on the risks prevalent within a variety of defence projects.Promoted to PSL3.1 after 3 months due to additional workload and responsibilities. Briefed and provided a research paper to the Communications and Arts Committee on the Australian Government’s National Cultural Policy. Summarised inquiry submissions and provided recommendations to Committees regarding high quality individuals, organisations, government entities and governments that should attend hearings.

Memorised and implemented the rules, practices and procedures in the House of Representatives chambers. This ranged from chamber conduct of Members and staffers to providing and delivering correct parliamentary documents, within the House and to other teams within the Department. Proactively attended to the Members, Speaker, Clerks and parliamentary staff of the House of Representatives on the chamber floors. This included but was not limited to facilitating communication between Members on the floor and staff, distributing parliamentary papers and assisting in the tabling of documents process.Consistently worked overtime shifts to assist the team in executing tasks particularly in the Chambers and Commonwealth Car booking process during peak periods.Organised and managed Commonwealth Car bookings for Members and Ministers. Main focus was in the delivery and problem solving, when required, of morning services starting from 5:30am.
