I program managed the service selection and operationalise of a Testing Centre of Excellence using existing onshore and offshore resource for the Clients KVWA5 department.I implemented a service definition and End to End Test Strategy/testing TOM to support the organisations "One Bank" strategy. Infosys and Cognizant were the competing offshore service providers.The strategy was expanded to other areas of the organisation following a successful pilot. In support of the manual strategy, we also developed an automated testing framework that was accepted as best practice within the organisation.

The systems incorporated partner web sites (E-ALIS) linking to an existing AMP administrative client server back office application (ALIS), with financial connections to the custodian and general ledger as well as regulatory reporting and reconciliation.

I was engaged as a senior test consultant reporting to the head of IT. I worked within the Equity and Bond development group. My remit was to review all the group’s current testing practices whilst managing the back office regression test team. As build manager I was also responsible for the correct code delivery to the live environment. Following the review I delivered a test strategy encompassing system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing. I also delivered a document on testing guidelines. Both the strategy and the testing guidelines were accepted with a view to implementation. I also acted as an adviser/reviewer to all members of the testing group to ensure that they adhered to the agreed standards. I was also responsible for test vacancy recruitment. My final deliverables were a tactical process improvement strategy and a strategic strategy. All the recommendations in the tactical strategy were agreed and were accepted.
