I am a business professional with extensive Java full stack experience building web sites and applications, utilizing an Oracle database in a Solaris Unix environment. This involved extensive use of Java, JSP and JavaScript, with an Apache Tomcat web server and SQL with multiple Oracle databases. I’ve used JDeveloper, JBuilder, and for the last 10+ years Eclipse development environments. Several examples of projects I worked on are listed under my Verizon experience.As part of a relatively small support group for a larger organization, within Verizon, I had additional responsibilities at times. These included some server administration duties. These duties also involved data analysis and reporting, which often tied back into creating automation using Java and creating web based reports. Extensive SQL and some Excel work were also involved with reporting, including digging into large corporate databases, looking for requested information.While working in a support group I interfaced with many types of people outside my own group, including end users, managers and other IT groups. This involved requirements gathering, testing feedback, discussions about enhancements and more. I was also available after hours, whenever any issues arose or for and coding or server changes, which were required to be done out of normal business hours.

  Developed, built and maintained Java based applications and web sites in a Solaris UNIX environment with Oracle databases, gaining extensive full stack development experience. Was also involved in some aspects of server administration and was responsible for some data analysis and reporting.• Replaced HP Unix servers monitoring about 15,000 interfaces for about 20 PA state agencies’ network infrastructure devices, with a more efficient system, using Java for server-side code.• Built a website for PA agencies monitored network information. The main feature was a Java applet, which provided some features of our internal PowerBuilder monitoring application.• Added SNMP trap monitoring for network devices and interfaces, using server-side Java programs to process trap logs and create tickets.• Worked with a contractor to add real-time, interval-based device polling functionality to the Java applet. This included pinging, traps, SNMP commands and more.• Built JSP pages, called from our internal PowerBuilder application via http, to provide users additional functionality, including email alerts and on-demand device and interface polling.• Significantly enhanced the basic website of our new director organization, including adding dynamic features, such as customizable reports, with data from various sources.• Built a website to track equipment installation and circuit turn-ups for another group in our VP organization, replacing an older, limited system, with a more flexible and feature rich system.• Built a website for tracking firewall changes, for our local data center to conform with new security requirements for firewall changes. Varying request types required differing amounts of data, which required dynamically generated web pages.• Built a website for tracking budget requests, related to a network project for Verizon Wireless infrastructure equipment, for another group in our VP organization, replacing manual emails and spreadsheet tracking.
