Project Manager of an Australia-first initiative that aims to pioneer innovative models of community-based journalism and service-learning. My role includes the development of creative IT strategies in the formation of virtual newsrooms, information management, data analysis and security. It also demonstrates my well-developed interpersonal skills, with the project focused on complex liaison and negotiation with multicultural, refugee and Indigenous communities in Brisbane's south. I have also been involved in the training of student journalists and community representatives in the implementation and use of the news management systems. This project has been selected as a finalist in the Premier's Cultural Diversity Awards in the media and communication section.
