I am an energetic person that has been blessed with many opportunities in my life. I worked in hospital administration for 14 years at the beginning of my career. Ten of those years I was the chief executive officer at a hospital. I then took the opportunity to return to school for my doctoral degree at the Wharton School in the University of Pennsylvania.Since receiving my doctoral degree in 1997 I have worked as a professor and consulted in organizational strategy, change, and leadership. I have been a masters program director, an associate dean, and a provost. I have worked at Cornell University, Indiana University, University of Oklahoma, and the University of Utah in the past 26 years. I helped open the University of Utah's Asia campus in 2014 and am currently on a leave of absence, serving a humanitarian mission for my church in the southern part of Africa.I have also performed a significant amount of consulting. Much of it was in the Middle East, but also in New Zealand, South Korea, and Mexico. Most of my consultancy was directed toward strategic planning, organizational improvement, and leadership training.
