Overall management of the country (entity) finance function and leading the country finance teamFinancial planning & budgeting - including forecasting, estimates and supporting the strategic direction for the group / business unit / function.Financial control - ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and group policies. Managing funding requirements, with the support of the Group Treasury functions, manage risk controllingFinancial Performance Analysis and Reporting - Analysis and reporting of financial activity in a timely and transparent way with recommendations where appropriate. Business Controlling - Drive financial and operational performance and initiate corrective measures to achieve profitability targets. Project Controlling / Investment Review – Supporting business in evaluating business proposals with a view to maximizing returns whilst minimizing risk.Tax Management / Planning - In conjunction with corporate tax and utilising internal or external country tax expertise, ensure optimal tax position for the business.Treasury - Maintain optimum cash levels, whilst minimising exposure, Manage local relationships with group-authorised banking institutions and manage in-house banking activitiesAccounting and billing activities – Oversee delivery of all acctivities for the country in scope either through own internal accounting team or internal provider (SSC) or through managing outsourcing to third parties. Commercial Support – supporting business partners in commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers with particular reference to pricing, payment terms, liability cover, termination costs and credit risk.

 Prepare financial accounts in accordance with IFRS. Managed to hit yearly targets as per the company and Companies Act requirements. Advise product managers regularly on the performance and provide expertise advice on how to achieve targeted performance. Supervise and directly participate in both External Audits and Internal audits. Oversee the maintenance of the targeted Net Working Capital in order to sustain the liquidity and solvency of the company. Ensure that Balance Sheet Schedules are provided and with reasonable explanation to the Regional Office in order to support CEOs in providing management decisions. Provide options for cost reduction in order to achieve the EBIT. Support the Operations and the Management team by constantly providing analytical advice with the aim of achieving our EBIT. Work closely with the Business Partners to grow the business by implementing functional strategy.

 Preparing annual budgets in accordance with the projected forecast. Preparing annual projected cash flow in regard to the projected sales and payments. Preparing monthly branch by branch profit and loss accounts, balance sheet and cash flow statements for 14 branches. Analyzing the month by month accounts versus the budget. Conduct sensitivity analysis and suggest model scenarios aimed at improving the variances arising from the actual versus budgeted variance analysis. Prepare annual Financial Reports for audit purposes. Liaising with auditors through out the annual audit and in any other assignment. Preparing write ups to the monthly and annual accounts explaining trends and variances. Maintaining the General Ledger accounts and authorizes the posting of Journal Entries. Supervise preparation of schedules of the subsidiary ledger accounts and conduct monthly period closures. Liaise with the IT department on matters arising from the use of ERP.
