Worked collaboratively with the UVic Centre for Aerospace to design a custom instrumentation system for collecting experimental data in scale flight atmospheric test vehicles. The data collection system required close cooperation with aeronautic, mechanical and electrical design of the UAV.Developed ground testing strategies for validation/updating numerical models of an unmanned aerial vehicle. Organized and managed tests including static load tests, ground vibration tests, and bifilar pendulum tests, thrust tests, and actuator transfer functions.Managed/Operated flight tests of UAV vehicles. Worked a variety of roles, including ground station operator for fixed wing aircraft with autopilots Cloud Cap Technology Piccolo, and pixhawk with APM codebase, and multi-rotor aircraft from DJI (S800, Inspire Pro). Served as remote observer and backup pilot for several fixed wing aircraft. Range safety officer. Managed/developed standard operating procedures compliant with transport Canada, and Nav Canada flight testing of UAV aircraft at UVic.

Worked on the design of fiber optic sensors for novel uses. Sensor designs for undersea pressure sensing, and simultaneous high speed, high pressure, and high temperature measurements using Fibre Bragg Gratings. Assisted other researchers and students in the lab group design of experiments primarily in digital acquisition, filtering, logging, and control.

Supported students and post doc research efforts. Primary project was assisting in developing geometry models and additional functionality for Monte Carlo based Radiotherapy simulations using GEANT4 in C++.Worked on developing a broadband ultrasound attenuation computed tomography (USCT) bone imaging apparatus.

Assisted in experimental procedure to produce gold nanowires by electrodepositionin alumina nanoporous templates and their release. Gained experience in SEM inspection.Assisted in implementing a femtosecond laser, and further developed interface software for controlof a 4 axis CNC mill. Worked on manufacture process of several meso scale bio−medical parts.

Developed and Implemented vibration models for micro and nano scale mechanicaloscillating beams in viscous fluid. These models involved the application of weakly non−lineardifferential equations using Matlab.
