As the Senior Software Engineering Manager, I lead a team of Java, Angular and QA Engineers focused on Trinet's Workforce Analytics product. The product is Trinet's customer facing data and analytics platform providing our customers with insight into their company's HR data. All customers get a set of "standard" reports that cover most of the client's needs. Clients also have the option to create their own reports from their data or have Trinet's custom reporting team create a report for them.The team consists of developers and QA engineers in Austin, TX as well as offshore (India) and near shore (Argentina).

As the Director of Software Architecture, I oversee the architecture and participate in the development of a Ruby on Rails application and a Relativity plugin written in C#.. I have been working on this product since 2015 through partnerships and acquisitions between Huron Legal, Consilio, Allegory Law and Integreon.Allegory Law is a Ruby on Rails REST API with a React front-end using a Postgres database that aids a litigation team to manage the documents and notes for their cases. The application processes documents that come from the discovery phase of a case and allows the litigators work with those documents by taking notes, highlighting key text and producing court documents.We are currently exploring using Elixir for some of our background processing for speed and concurrency. We are using Phoenix with Elixir OTP for the communication between the Rails application and the Elixir applications.

As the Director of Software Development at Nextgen, I led the development teams for the NGNow version of our Ambulatory product. My teams were primarily focused on nurse and doctor workflows through the system including but not limited to the medication workflows and clinical documentation.The application is a web-based application with a front-end of AngularJS, a middle tier of NodeJS, and backend of Java and C#. Within the application, we also use various data stores including Postgres and MongoDB.

As the Vice President of Product Innovation at CSD, I drive all phases of product development, execution and customer engagement. The position has full P&L accountability for the success and growth of new and existing technology product lines, including Vineya (http://govineya.com). I own the creation of the strategic product roadmap and it’s tactical delivery across the complete product life cycle, including R & D, new product specs and proposals, feature enhancements; UI/UX design, software engineering and quality assurance; marketing, market research and launch strategy; and business development, consumer acceptance and sales.

Led a team of 6 developers using Agile Development methodologies for the web-based Inpatient EHR System. This involved creating new features and enhancements to the product. Highlights from these projects include: * Creating a new webservice for Clinical Decision Support and refactoring all code in the medication and allergy workflow to transition to the First Databank medication database. The change allowed for the system to move between medication databases easier and allowed the integration with third party applications to be more solid. * Creating a service that would read messages containing the allergy or medication data from one application from a service bus and updating the destination's database with the data supplied. This facilitated the integration between the Inpatient and Outpatient Products.

Led a team of three developers (including 2 contract developers) for the web-based hotel reservation system. This involved creating new features and enhancements to the product. One major project includes transitioning the older automated terminal interface to using the Java API for the Attachmate platform. This migration allowed us to reduce the number of processes needed by 43% and allowed rate updates to process close to real-time.

Created and maintained ride-sharing website that allows users to anonymously search and meet other users in the country. Site is written entirely in Object Oriented PERL using a MySQL database. Uses the Google Map API to graphically show users trips near them.

Managed a team for the Pre-Hire suite of solutions including the flagship product, the Application Tracking System. The developers on the team included three developers in-house and two offshore developers. Responsibilities included: * Deciding on new features for all Pre-Hire solutions. * Managing the team of developers and their schedules to make sure all projects were completed on time. * Meeting with potential partners and explored third-party integration options for all of our products. * Architected the rewriting of the Applicant Tracking System written in PHP, using a MySQL database. * Involved in the initial development of another product called the Learning Management System.
