In my role as an Assistant Director/Area Coordinator I supervise four full-time Hall Directors and two full-time Community Center Manager. I oversee four residence halls, one Co-Op and four apartment complexes comprising of undergraduate, graduate and family housing. I connect with external stakeholders such as Board of Governors. I am the StarRez representative and support staff accounts for my department. I serve as a conduct hearing officer. I partner with various offices on campus to provide the best support for our residents. I serve on a supervisory on-call rotation for all of campus.

My role as an Area Coordinator of Residence Education is supported our residence life staff and students. I oversaw 3 resident directors across six buildings and approximately 700 residents. I coordinated and participated in various committees focused on hiring, training and recognition. I worked closely with two living learning communities. I served as a hearing officer and adjudicate various policy violations and promote the ideas of restorative justice through my meetings with students. I also served as a supervisor on-call and guide resident directors and RAs through various incidents that occur from mental health concerns to building-wide emergencies. I also assisted in the creation of three new student staff positions.

My role as a Residence Director is to supervise eight staff members across two first year residence halls. I create and execute long and short-term goals for my area to improve student engagement and their own campus living experience. I assist in Covid-19 protocols including assisting in the logistics of moving isolation and quarantine students. I adjudicate violations of community policy and create educational and restorative sanctions. I serve on a supervisory level on-call rotation. I do all of these while promoting the Franciscan mission of the University.

Through this position, I oversaw the Damietta Center for Multicultural Student Affairs. In this role I planned various programs with campus partners, including Residence Life, Health and Wellness and student organizations such as the Black Student Union. I was a support for students of diverse backgrounds. I created a new student staff position - Damietta Center Peer Educator. This included creating the job description and handling the hiring process for these positions. I also assisted with the rebranding of center including redesign of the logo and updating the center.

I develop and implement classroom instruction for two courses totaling three credit hours. These courses are designed for students to study the characteristics and functions of community at local, national, and global levels. I assist students in developing the language, intellectual framework, and empathy to understand many forms of diversity and engage more actively as citizens of the modern world. I also inform first year students oh how they can be successful in a college environment.

I am the co-advisor for the St Bonaventure branch of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I plan and host leadership training events throughout the semester. I monitor member progress and assure that members complete all required events. I supervisor a board of five first year students who have been inducted into the program.

My role as a Resident Hall Director is to supervise staff members and multiple buildings. My role is to assist the assistant director and director of Community Standards with varies projects. My focus was to deliver projects to the office that center around the Jesuit Ideals of the University. I worked on developing education programs that relate to conflict management and decision making. These programs emphasis reflection and goal setting for the future. Along with these projects, I developed effect ways of assessment. I assisted with new student orientation. Also, I assisted with the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Grant Efforts through a variety of other offices on campus.

S.O.A.R - Students Offering Advice and Resources. My role as an upperclassman mentor is to offer conversation and advice to underclassmen on matters involving adjusting to campus life, dealing with roommate troubles, dealing with homesickness, overcoming academic difficulties and any other concerns a student may have.

As a Resident Assistant I am responsible for 20-30 on campus students. I am trained to handle tough situations whether that is mental health related or policy enforcement to ensure the safety of my residents. I also design and host programs to best fit the needs and wishes of my residents.

My role is to hear incident reports that are generated by The Office of Public Safety and The Office of Residence Life. As a board member, I read the report and question those involved and then weigh in on whether we find the respondent responsible or not. If they are found responsible then I weigh in on what I believe to be an appropriate sanction. Another role of this position is to hear appeals of cases and determine if they need to be re-evaluated or if they will be upheld.

As a Co-Chair of the Peer Review Board, I hear incident reports that are generated by The Office of Public Safety and The Office of Residence Life. As the Co-Chair, I read the report and question those involved and I facilitate discussion amongst the other board members who determine a finding of responsibility for each violation, for each respondent.

My role is assisting the assistant director and director of Community Standards with varies projects. I am engaging in work that supports the transformative learning of students. I am working on developing educational programs related to a restorative justice model. I am developing assessments to assess student learning outcomes through the conduct process. I am assisting with new student orientation. I am collaborating with other offices to create and enhance sanctions related to conduct that may involve those departments.

I use sensory and teaching techniques to help my client successfully complete his day to day activities and work tasks. I help my client to be fully integrated in their community in a way where they can safely participate in work, social and recreational activities. I assist in an educational program that is refined and adapted to their specific needs in developing their communication and functional daily living skills.
