As a handyman / garden maintenance person one is responsible for the overall upkeep of the resort buildings, building installations such as the air-con units, and any general repairs that need doing eg broken windows,doors or furniture. I have gained experience in the basic workings of air con units and how to troubleshoot problems with faulty units and fix them. While working at the garden maintenance in the resort I was responsible for trimming bushes, trees and other foliage. I also looked after the 9 hole golf course which included using a verity of ride on lawnmowers, fertilising the greens and removing any unwanted weeds and grass types from the greens and fairways. I was also thought how to maintain the machinery and keep it in good working order. The job also included setting traps for unwanted animals that frequented the resort.As we were situated on the side of a lake, we had to set alligator traps and also pig traps.As a result of this I i gained experience in animal trapping eg, what bait to use and where to place traps to ensure the best results.

As an off-sider one is responsible for hedge pruning, rubbish removal, minor landscaping, and general garden service. During this time, I gained experience on the correct usage of hedge trimmers, ride-on lawnmowers, whipper snippers, rotary lawnmowers, cylinder mowers, and pricing/quoting jobs. The experienced gained also included the maintenance of the machinery. In addition to the previous mentioned another vital part of the job is fixing damaged sprinklers and running system tests

Whilst working for the family owned business I was responsible for the garden decking and furnishing design. More specifically I was responsible for the outdoor carpentry and designing of the following: furnishing, fencing, pergola building, decking, wooden planters and compost heaps. The landscaping consisted of scheduling detailed garden maintenance program. This also included regular maintenance of the gardens.

This job function consisted of delivering legal documents and parcels within a safe and timely fashion. Navigational skills and route scheduling were a fundamental aspects of the responsibilities.
