I act as a liaison between the community, the Pinebluff Police Department and is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Neighborhood Watch program.Maintains a list of Block Captains.Keeps Neighborhood Watch files and records as supplied by Block Captains as well as the brochures, forms, hand-outs and Patrol signs necessary for the operation of the Watch program.Holds at least four meetings annually with Block Captains. One of these meetings must also include the Crime Awareness Officer. Other meetings may be called when major crime problems arise.Receives crime reports from the Pinebluff Police Department.Provides the materials and information required by the Patrol and safeguards a key to the Patrol mailbox. Maintains regular contact with the Patrol leader.Gives a status report on neighborhood crime and Watch activities at each quarterly Association meeting as well as providing a Watch update for the Newsletter.Assesses the needs of the community to determine additional problems such as juvenile behavior, vacant houses and drugs.Organizes a Neighborhood Watch resident sign-up program Serves as a member of the Executive Committee.
