I am a Senior Legal Counsel at WorkSafe Victoria with over 10 years of experience in common law litigation, statutory benefits, judicial review and appeals. I have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders, resolve complex disputes, achieve favourable outcomes, develop and refine policies, as well as implement and manage targeted interventions.With a deep understanding of workers' compensation, I am able to advise internal and external stakeholders on emerging trends and complex matters. I regularly prepare and present updates on legal developments, provide expert legal advice and make recommendations in relation to legislative policy reforms.Prior to joining WorkSafe Victoria, I was a Senior Associate in the Compensation Law practice group at Lander & Rogers. I represented WorkSafe Victoria and self-insurer clients including Wesfarmers Limited, Coles Group Limited, and Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited. I acted in a number of complex matters involving common law damages, serious injury, statutory benefits litigation, judicial review, appeals, s.138/s.369 recovery proceedings and third party proceedings. I have a proven track record of securing successful results in appellate matters, and am a commercial negotiator.I was awarded a Legal Panel Scholarship by WorkSafe Victoria to undertake an innovation course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which I completed in July 2017.In addition to my professional accomplishments, I am a proud dad and an avid supporter of the Carlton Football Club.
