After a long and exhausting career in construction and Health and Safety I have began to put some effort back by way of apprenticeships and training.Behind me I have a fantastic team of Directors, Management, supervisors, trainers and staff who work tirelessly behind the scene to ensure quality delivery across all the companies.I have developed a new role for myself (or is it the board of Directors keeping me out of the way)getting the message across to youngsters about the fantastic opportunities in construction.This involves me sitting on the Executive board for Hartlepool Council YEI project. This has helped open up fantastic opportunity to deliver the construction message to schools and colleges by way of speeches, seminars, speed dates and career fairs. This has led to me being ambassador and mentor to some schools and opening doors across the Tees Valley.This Year has seen me getting involved with the educations STEM project and helping the first school that has adopted STEM High Tunstall in Hartlepool and patroned by none other than our first lady in space Helen Sharman.
