My role focuses on analysing the global fixed broadband access space from both a supply and demand perspective. My research examines developments in the fixed broadband market and their implications for operators, vendors and other stakeholders. I cover topics such as the business case for rolling out FTTP, the opportunities arising from migration to next generation PON technologies and the ways in which operators can benefit from providing an improved in-home experience to their subscribers. My role involves conducting extensive qualitative and quantitative research and writing content for Omdia's Intelligence Services, such as the Broadband Access Intelligence Service, as well as carrying out consulting projects.

Moved back to the UK after completing stay in Singapore. My coverage area focused on fixed broadband and fixed mobile convergence related topics. I led Analysys Mason's Fixed Broadband Services research programme which included producing content examining fixed broadband operators' retail tariff strategies and tracking opportunities to use home Wi-Fi and the smart home as a differentiator. I was the lead analyst for Analysys Mason's annual FTTx coverage, capex and conversion forecasts. I also led Analysys Mason's Fixed-Mobile Convergence research programme covering area such as FMC retail bundle related opportunities and the implications of fixed-mobile network convergence eg converged packet core architectures.

Singapore

Responsibility for driving new business growth in the APAC and ANZ regions. This involved presenting to clients and prospects and formulating plans to drive sales to target companies.My main coverage area was all things related to fixed broadband and I was, for example, the lead analyst responsible for producing Analysys Mason's FTTx coverage, capex and conversion forecasts. I also covered developments in regional markets in APAC and ANZ, for instance, producing content on these regions from Analysys Mason's primary research surveys.
