Wilson has over forty years of professional experience in information technology and cybersecurity. After founding and managing his own cybersecurity company for 12 years, he sold his company to help start a cybersecurity practice at an international information services company headquartered in Buffalo, New York. For the next nineteen years, Wilson concentrated on cybersecurity as a Consultant, Security Architect, Auditor, and Virtual CISO in the Federal and private sectors. He focused on FISMA regulatory compliance employing the NIST 800-53 security framework in the Public Sector. His skills as a security architect and consultant have been instrumental in helping clients to become compliant with the NIST 800-53 framework and to prepare them for upcoming audits. Before coming to AT&T in April 2008, Wilson’s focus was HIPAA regulatory assessments and compliance. As a Cybersecurity Professional, he has performed hundreds of NIST-FISMA, ISO, DFARS, and HIPAA Cybersecurity compliance audits and risk assessments for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Dept. of State, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Federal Reserve Banks, U.S. Department of Justice, the General Services Administration, State of Texas, and Dept. of Housing and Urban Development.
