Responsible for the rewrite of the legacy COBOL non-monetary account management system and ported this to a modern Java solution. This system was the master system for all accounts and account meta data at the bank.Prior to working in Enterprise Services I worked in the Virtual Payment Center (check image processing and routing) system team and created several novel solutions for new features. I also architected and developed EDDI (Enterprise Duplicate Detection Initiative) to help handle the new concept of remote capture of checks and the potential for fraud due to customers not relinquishing the actual checks. One of the coolest and most computer science heavy projects I have ever worked on. Google Bloom Filter to see some of the more interesting solutions that were part of this system.
