As members of the MakeUK (formerly EEF) I'm a member of the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Board.I'm strong advocate of the value of manufacturing to the UK and region and I'm involved on the Steering Committee of the Bradford and Airedale Manufacturing Alliance which was started in January 2011 to promote manufacturing in the district and to create better links between manufacturers.As a Bradfordian and proud of it, I was a member of Bradford Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors and was President for two years from July 2011 to July 2013. Subsequently I was Chair of the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. This meant I got involved in the activities of the Chamber and engage with business leaders, the local community, politicians and government to create opportunities and get the best possible deal for Bradford.Specialities: Compressed Air and Pneumatics.
