Underwriting Assistant
Current• Work alongside lead producer to understand myriad of carriers, strategize to effectively target clients, and market to agencies• Frequently collaborate between agents and underwriters to ensure clients’ expectations are met while adhering to underwriting guidelines• Manage and coordinate projects from start to finish by working one-on-one with agents to obtain necessary contracts and providing back-end support with issuing and endorsing policies • Openly communicate with underwriters and agents to gather their multiple points-of-view and adapt to any changes that arise or concerns that need to be addressed • Assisted with interviewing process by assessing potential employees’ strengths/weaknesses and how they could fit within the team• Train and guide employees in an inclusive but assertive manner aiming for long-term success• Help improve workflow by recognizing inefficiencies and prioritizing tasks so the entire team benefits
