• performed particle size analysis of powder used for AD using ImageJ to study particle size distribution in the raw and milled powder, specifically agglomerate formation.
• performed surface roughness measurements using Alpha Step D-120 surface profiler to study the effect of substrate surface roughness on coating quality
• formulated programs for the detailed movement of the XY stage of the substrate plate for the deposition process
• designed a torch support structure for the thermal spray robot at CACT and oversaw its machining process using SolidWorks
• replicated the entire aerosol deposition system in SolidWorks in detail with near 1-to-1 dimensional accuracy
