Co-Ops will learn how new technologies marry with the old, and how they should beinstalled and constructed to function properly. The hands-on, real-world training you receive willprepare you for a future in engineering.Major duties and responsibilities in relation to the commissioning of mechanical, electrical, andplumbing (MEP) systems include:• Development of pre-functional checklists• Assist in building energy audits and evaluations• Review building system operational sequences to optimize building energy usage• Development of functional performance test procedures for HVAC equipment• Perform reviews of design and construction documents• Visit construction sites and document deviations from design documents• Testing of commissioned systems and equipment to ensure proper system performanceExperience and Skills• Communicate with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.• Display a high degree of professionalism and dependability.• Demonstrate acceptance of responsibility and pride in personal work.• Construction experience is helpful but is not required.Candidate must:• Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or a constructionmanagement related field of study and have completed the freshman year.• Be able to qualify for a security clearance of L or higher for U.S. Government projects.
