Responsible for all project site development over multiple states. The position, supported by internal and external resources, is responsible for meeting company development goals and attentive to future success of developed assets.

Assisted in designing and implementing an optimized organizational model for a rapidly growing distribution company. Regional Manager with oversight of operations and maintenance activities of 4 wind sites across Canada. Ensured safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations and maintenance programs. Responsible for helping set and meet availability targets, address challenges to production, and implement initiatives to overcome gaps.Accountabilities:• Integrated previously isolated assets into the NextEra Energy operating model. • Developed, monitored and controlled plant budgets including major maintenance activities.• Led root cause analyses and development of countermeasures to increase performance and productivity.• Represented corporation to land owners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.• Maintained strong working relationships with turbine OEMs, vendors, industry peers, and contractual partners.

Plant Manager for the first NextEra Energy greenfield wind site in Canada. Onsite for construction and commissioning then implemented and managed site operations and maintenance. Accountabilities:• Learned and executed operational excellence through the NextEra operating model for safety, plant operations, work management, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, quality, and event response. • Monitored and controlled plant budget. Responsible for people leadership and performance management.• Collaborated with SME’s in High Voltage, Production Assurance, Engineering, and Business Management. • Interfaced with regulators, land owners, local government, and community stakeholders.

Responsible for developing, quantifying, and providing complex capital cost estimates in the evaluation process for development of wind, transmission, and PV solar projects.Accountabilities:• Prepared preliminary wind and solar site layouts using GIS tools for cost estimating and preliminary engineering.• Delivered highly detailed cost estimates in support of technical and financial analysis and management vetting.• Provided technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, and optimization considerations.• Collaborated with Project Developers, Wind Resource Analysts, Financial Analysts, and Environmental Specialists.

Project manager for exclusive Turbines Supply and Installation Agreements (TSIA) for Vestas projects across the US. Provided on-site project management of turbine erection projects from pre-construction through commissioning. Worked with owners, EPC’s, and subcontractors to coordinate and execute projects.

Primary responsibilities included business development and EPC proposal development for utility-scale wind energy projects. Provided detailed estimates, project schedules, and constructability reviews for project developers. Accountabilities:• Performed site assessments to prepare preliminary layouts, scope, and schedules as a basis for cost estimates.• Developed and maintained project schedules and coordination of resources for wind projects throughout the US.• Developed cost estimating software template and continuous improvement process to refine the tool.

• Construction Manager for build-out of 400,000 sf campus on 75 acres. • Transitioned to Facility Manager with oversight of a team of 45 people, budgeting, purchasing, and coordinating use of facilities. Developed staff, leadership team, and vendor resources to maintain and operate the facilities.

• Worked for a national environmental engineering firm as Project Construction Manager for major environmental remediation projects. Managed highly specialized subcontractors for removal of asbestos, contaminated soils, drums, gas cylinders, and facility decontamination.• Experienced in all major construction management processes including writing specifications, issuing RFPs, contractor pre-qualification, managing bid process, contract documents, interface with design engineers, scheduling, construction quality assurance, project reports, and interface with client and regulators.
