Before Veritas/Symantec, Stephen was the lead architect and administrator of a mid-sized internet service provider in Virginia Beach, VA, following a 16 year career in nuclear propulsion (submarines) for the US Navy. Stephen holds Master of Business Administration (MBA with focus on Technology Management) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT in Information Systems Security) degrees from the University of Phoenix. His current certifications include: VMware Certified Professional in Data Center Virtualization and Mirantis Certified Administrator for OpenStack (MCA200) Previous certifications held include Cisco Certified Network Associate, Red Hat Linux Certified Engineer (RHCE), and Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA).
