As a Teacher’s Assistant for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming, I work with students that have little to no background in programming. As their first experience with computer science, this class can often make or break a student's interest in programming in general. I aim to help make my student's introduction to programming as stress-free as possible. I take a data-driven approach to teaching. Each week, students can fill out a survey with the amount of time they spent per task for the class. By looking at where students struggle the most, I can tailor my teaching style and curriculum to fit the needs of the class. One of my responsibilities is mentoring students through the planning and creation of their Term Project. By building personal relationships with my students, I can help them manage time commitments and project development better.

I scoped out and developed a dynamic support center detailing the ins and outs of Uber's Vehicle Solutions program. Using the user's status (driver or potential driver) and location, I compiled pricing information for products relevant to the user's region. Due to it's effect of empowering drivers to self-help themselves, this project was highlighted as an example of Uber's Driver-Forward initiative. Working along side designers and legal advisers, I helped push for designs that encouraged code reuse. Additionally, I reached out to teams across Uber to develop solutions that handled multiple use cases, saving teams significant amount of engineering work.
