I am currently serving as Project Director for a Columbia-based nonprofit called Missouri Conservation Corps. Our group has been working in Columbia's parks since April 2021, but finally took the step to formalize our nonprofit in November 2022. Our work involves community engagement, environmental education, invasive species removal, and native plant restoration in Columbia's parks and green spaces.

My title at this job was media analyst or media reader, and my duties were to scan and analyze print and online media for topics and keywords relevant to a diverse array of clients. One of the crucial components of my workflow was my ability to skim material and quickly recognize contextual clues to content location. Perhaps my favorite aspect of this position was the occasional opportunity to analyze and modify, with the client's consent, the existing keyword combinations and strategies in order to maximize the client's acquisition of valuable information. These changes are dictated by my ability to locate and monitor the media trends and permutations of any given topic of client interest.

From 2010 until 2016 I worked as a testing proctor and coordinator at the Testing Lab at Columbia College. The Testing Lab was a brick and mortar location for both online and traditional students to take midterms, finals, and course evaluation tests.

At Access Arts I served as a digital photography instructor for several years, leading classes in outdoor photography outings followed by lab sessions designed to teach the basics of Adobe Photoshop. This role also allowed me to develop a curriculum for the class and to implement and fine tune that curriculum as the instructor. During this time I also served as the volunteer photographer for this organization, photographing community events and happenings for use on their website and in promotional materials.

Jefferson City

My time at AMEC was spent in the Jefferson City branch photographing and touching up digital images of artifacts uncovered during archeological digs.

During my time at MU Health Care I served as the publicity and publications photographer for University Health Care and Clinics, a fast-paced, University affiliated health care system comprised of multiple facilities and clinics spread across central Missouri. Common duties included providing photographic talents for advertising and promotional campaigns, physician and administrative portraiture, environmental portraiture, and publications needs.

Greater Milwaukee Area

This was a fascinating job at a rapidly growing and developing company. I began working at Stone Creek as a coffee roaster in April, 2004, but slowly became a cupper and quality control agent for the company, and was eventually put in charge of sourcing and purchasing green coffee for our roasting facility. I LOVED this job...my coworkers, my boss, and the specialty coffee industry were all a wonderful experience for me.

I served as the lead publications photographer at the Rec Services Department at MU for 4.5 years. This job involved photographing patron activity, facilities, leisure actives, intramural sports, editing and assistance with publications layout and distribution.

Attended Bruce Barnbaum's Glacier National Park photographic workshop, followed by a darkroom printing masterclass at Rocky Mountain.
